Runaway
This time, no one cares until you’re gone.
Can someone take me home?
I wanted to feel the earth—it's midnight,
The moon shines unusually bright.
Closing my eyes, it turns pitch black.
It gets darker with every step I take.
In the lonely night, tears flow,
Falling softly from left eye to right.
Breathe out, breathe in— I cried.
Walking, then running, Wishing it was heaven.
I ran away, unseen, unknown,
Into the woods where trees hum— La... di... da...
Opening my eyes, the water’s crystal clear,
As I recall your face, my dear.
At the edge, I stood,
Rocks, silent waterfalls—they were watching.
I ran back, pleading,
“Please, Lord, take me home to where I belong."
“Wake up,” she said.
It was already noontime.
